The holiday season means spending time with family and friends. In this video, I will show you how to make an Easy Holiday Appetizer, a Brie En Croute Recipe. We are going to bake brie in a puff pastry.
Brie En Croute FAQ:
Do you take the rind off of brie cheese before baking?
A note regarding the rind: I did not cut the rind off prior to baking. It is completely edible, and you don't notice it much when your brie is cooked. When I'm eating brie unbaked, I sometimes cut off the rind merely because I don't take joy in it.
How do you eat brie en croute?
Brush the outside of the brie en croute with egg wash.
Add your favorite jam and nuts.
Cover the brie en croute in a puff pastry.
Bake: Cook for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden light brown. Cool and serve: Transfer brie en croute to an uncontaminated work surface or serving platter and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve with fruit party crackers and artisanal bread.
Can you reheat brie en croute?
Reheating Leftover Brie En Croute. If you have leftovers, you can loosely cover it in aluminum foil and heat it in a 350 ° F oven for about 10 to 15 minutes until the brie is runny again and the puff pastry is hot.
